Both articles offer great practical advice such as:
- Watch out for weight gain due to eating more carbs and processed foods.
- Sit near the front of the class.
- Buy more undies to cut down on how often you have to do your washing.
- Use all the free university services available, including the counseling and tutoring services.
- Get enough sleep.
- Wash your hands often.
- Form study groups–but restrict their size to around 3-5 people.
- Don’t do anything illegal. It’ll appear on your permanent record and make life hard for you later.
- Stay for the whole lecture; professors often give out useful information right at the end.
- Get involved in campus activities; productive socializing is very healthy.
- Speak up. Ask questions in class. Answer questions.
- Learn to write well. Go to any free writing courses on offer.
- Develop a simple way to organize yourself that works for you.
