“This web initiative was created seven years ago when patients coming to see me had all kinds of questions they felt weren’t being answered.
I and other like-minded colleagues felt it would be a good idea to provide information on a website so that patients could access it 24 hours 7 days a weeks .
This started off originally as the Virtual Cancer Centre. And because of its success, it’s now expanded to cover all the major medical specialties. Each of the websites is supported by a group of specialists from that particular medical specialty to make sure the content of the site is up to date and relevant.
What you can find on the sites is all manner of information regarding the diseases that affect us in modern society.”
